Vivo Clinical Liason LVN:

At Vivo Infusion, The Clinical Liaison (CL) provides a comprehensive, proactive, and “Patients First” experience for our patients. The CL ensures that all clinical reviews are completed for new referrals to ensure the timely scheduling of treatments to ensure the continuity of care and that there is no disruption to the plan of care. An effective CL possesses excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work equally well with patients, physicians, corporate support staff and other healthcare providers involved in the patient’s care.

This position requires the ability to build strong working relationships, solve problems and document interactions appropriately. The CL ensures all parties involved receive accurate/timely responses to questions/concerns. The CL ensures a positive and efficient patient experience while reducing financial loss and ensuring compliance

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Structure/Systems/Programs:

  • Follow established Payor Policy Criteria sheets for all new and existing medications.
  • Support and participate in process improvement efforts.
  • Follow standards and guidelines for telephone etiquette and customer service when interacting with patients over the phone.
  • Support and adhere to Vivo policies and procedures.

Hiring and Staffing:

  • Established strong working relationships with assigned physician offices personnel, Vivo Infusion Specialists, and other Vivo Infusion support teams.

Coaching and Supervising:

  • Act as liaison with Clinical Operations, Revenue Operations Intake, and Patient Care Navigators to resolve complex medical policy needs and prioritize the timely care and treatment of the patient. This may include working with external providers and stakeholders, in addition to managing internal stakeholder relationships.
  • Evaluates needs and coordinates with education department to create content/expertise for In-services to enhance team knowledge and performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate special projects at CL Manager’s and Director’s request
  • Develop an effective communication mechanism for the Home Office to promote a positive image with clinics, patients, visitors, co-workers, physician and office personnel, and external agencies.
  • Encourage team building with staff.
  • Consistently demonstrate the Vivo Infusion Mission, Vision, and Culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with IV Certification and/or Registered Nurse.
  • Minimal travel for transition and education purposes required.
  • Advanced knowledge of infusion procedures and medical terminology.
  • Proficient (intermediate level of application) with all Microsoft Office Products programs.
  • Must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, be able to communicate professionally and effectively with other employees, patients, vendors, and physicians and office personnel, and is fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Prior experience working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
